One of NorthLink's longest serving Captain's was honoured today (Tuesday, 30 August) with a series of celebrations at Lerwick.
The events, organised as a tribute to Captain Dave Wheeler for years of service on the ‘North Boats’ since 1989, will include pilot vessel Knab leading the M.V. Hjaltland from Lerwick harbour on his final sailing before retirement.
Lerwick Port Authority Chief Executive Sandra Laurenson, presented a framed commemorative aerial photo of the harbour to Capt. Wheeler at a celebratory lunch earlier today.
