Visit "Light Stitch", a striking new lighthouse scuplture installed at Victoria Pier in the Town Centre as part of an interactive scuplture trail organised by CLAN Cancer Support.

Lerwick Port Authority is a sponsor of the lighthouse, helping to raise funds for CLAN Cancer Support.

The trail consists of 50 uniquely designed lighthouses, by talented artists from all around the country, to shine a spotlight on the Northern Isles and the North-East.

The trail continues to 17 October, so there is opportunity to visit the other three large lighthouses and eight ‘little’ lights, in Lerwick, Sumburgh and Scalloway. Look out for other lighthouses when you are visiting Orkney and the Scottish mainland. The accompanying ‘Light the North’ trail app is available for download from the App Store, where users can claim rewards for visiting each lighthouse.

The Authority is encouraging adults to tag #lerwickharbour #lightstitch in their photos to be in with a chance to win a giveaway after the trail has ended.

Children can claim a reward by completing an activity sheet created by Bell’s Brae Primary School pupils. To receive your copy, please contact our reception by telephone 01595 692991 or email info@lerwick-harbour.co.uk
