This Open Ship event offers a unique chance to see the vessel up close and discover more about the ship, her history and life at sea.
Sørlandet will celebrate her centenary next year, marking 100 years since she was launched in 1927. She remains in operation today and continues to sail internationally, carrying forward her proud heritage and tradition.
Built in 1927 in Kristiansand, Norway, the Sorlandet is the world's oldest full-rigged ship still in operation. She was the first Norwegian training ship to cross the Atlantic in 1933, and the first tall ship to offer sail training for women in 1981. Now a school ship for upper secondary education and adventure sailing for youth of all ages, she regularly participates in international tall ship races and at port festivals in Europe and the United States.
