Lerwick Port Authority confirms that the Shetland-registered whitefish vessel Copious (LK985) grounded in the harbour north of the fishmarket at approximately 1510hrs hours today (Wednesday 3 April).

Copious was arriving at Lerwick Fishmarket at the time.

There are seven personnel on board, with no reports of any injuries.

Two harbour tugs assisted to recover the vessel and secure Copious LK985 alongside at 1700hrs.

Lerwick Lifeboat and HM Coastguard attended. There are no signs of any pollution from the vessel or damage to the hull.
