Lerwick Port Authority is supporting a call for all vessels in the country's ports and home waters to mark HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee this weekend.
UK Chamber of Shipping is encouraging all ships to sound a horn or whistle in salute to Her Majesty at 12pm BST on Saturday 4 June.
Port Authority Harbourmaster, Captain Alexander Simpson, said: “We’re delighted for Lerwick Harbour to be part of this historic occasion and to enlist the vessels in the port to be part of the shipping industry’s national tribute to HM The Queen.”
Port users at Lerwick will be the most northerly commercial port in Britain to participate.
