Norwegian schoolship Gann berthed at Victoria Pier earlier today, on a sail training charter carrying marine cadets. This is the ship's first visit of the season as a training ship and she is due to return in June on a cruising itinerary. The cadets have a shore programme planned for today, before departing for Kirkwall.
Viking Venus, due to call on Wednesday 6 April, will be the first cruise visit for Lerwick this season. 2022 is shaping up to be a record year of bookings with many well-known cruise lines returning and exciting new brands such as Swan Hellenic and Ambassador visiting for the first time.
