Notice to Visiting Yachts & Charter Vessels
Alternative berthing arrangements are in place for visiting yachts, during the North Sea Triangle and Bergen-Shetland Race events, to safely accommodate cruise ship operations.
Depending on weather conditions and race speeds, the yachts are due to arrive as follows:
North Sea Triangle
- Approximately 30 yachts to berth at Albert Dock
- Arrivals staggered from Monday 16 June 2025
- Yachts to leave Lerwick by 1200 on Thursday 19 June 2025
Bergen-Shetland Race
- Approximately 30 yachts to berth at Albert Dock
- Arrivals staggered from Thursday 19 June 2025
- Return race to Bergen starts at 1600hrs on Saturday 21 June 2025
Visiting yachts and charter boats are requested to use the small boat harbour during this period.
To accommodate all vessels safety and ensure the safe disembarkation of cruise passengers from tenders, Albert Dock Cruise Pontoon must remain clear at all times. Coinciding with the yacht races in port will be the arrivals of the following cruise ships using either Victoria Pier pontoon or berthing alongside.
- Monday 16 June, MV MSC Virtuosa at Anchor No 1
- Wednesday 18 June, MV Silver Spirit at Mairs Pier East
- Friday 20 June, MV Corinthian at Victoria Pier East
- Friday 20 June, MV Vista at Anchor No 1
- Saturday 21 June, MV Viking Saturn at Mairs Pier East
- Saturday 21 June, MV World Voyager at Victoria Pier East
