Notice to Visiting Yachts & Charter Vessels

To support both the Bergen–Shetland Race and scheduled cruise ship operations, temporary berthing arrangements will be in place for visiting yachts and charter vessels.

Bergen–Shetland Race

  • Approximately 22 race yachts are expected to berth at Albert Dock.
  • Arrivals are anticipated from Thursday 18 June 2026, with vessels arriving over several days depending on weather conditions and race progress.
  • The return race to Bergen is scheduled to start at 1600hrs on Saturday 20 June 2026.

Visiting Yachts and Charter Vessels

Visiting yachts and charter vessels are requested to use the Small Boat Harbour during this period.

To ensure the safe movement of vessels and the efficient disembarkation of cruise passengers from tenders, the Albert Dock Cruise Pontoon must remain clear at all times.

Cruise Ship Calls

The following cruise vessels are scheduled to call during the event period and may require use of Victoria Pier North pontoon.

Berthing arrangements will be reviewed on the day. Vessel operators are asked to check with Port Control for latest information and any updates to berthing allocations.
