Shetland Boat Week: Exploring Shetland's Coasts and Waters
This family friendly event, inspired by Shetland’s rich maritime heritage, is a full week long maritime experience taking place in August. The event is inspired by Shetland’s rich maritime heritage, aims to encourage and promote a passion for traditional Shetland boats, and a growing participation in keeping the sailing, boat building and other historic skills alive.
For 2020, there is an exciting line up, plus some new events, ceelbrating "Scotland's Year of Coasts and Waters". In addition to the usual sailing and rowing experiences, there is a range of on-the-water activities, plus shoreside lectures and exhibitions.
